X-Wing Miniatures Game was first published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2012. It was designed by Jason Little and was inspired by the success of other miniatures games and the popularity of the Star Wars franchise. The game initially launched with a focus on fast-paced, tactical dogfights between iconic Star Wars starfighters. Subsequent expansions and updates, including the Second Edition, have refined the rules and introduced new content, further expanding the game’s universe and mechanics. The game was purchased by Attomic Mass Game in 2023 and has had it rules updated as well as the ships and points system. They have also added fleets from most the movies.
